Christmas is such a busy time full of traveling and visiting with family and friends. In years past, we have started the tradition of going to Rob's parent's house for Christmas Eve and then to Rocky Mount for Christmas with my parents on Christmas Day. I knew we were going to want to spend Christmas with our families, but I also wanted to have our own family of 3 Christmas at home in High Point for Emmy's first Christmas, so we decided to have Santa visit her a few days early.
We were so excited to play Santa Clause, even though Emmy had no clue what was going on. Rob and I set out all of her things on Thursday night and even put out cookies for Santa (which the dog ate the next morning. whoops!) My mom had bought her a PBK Anywhere Chair and had it shipped to us, so we set that out with her little gifts around it. She got some wooden sorting blocks, a FP Music Table, bath toys, a Christmas book, a Manhattan Toy baby Stella doll, and other odds and ends.
We got her up "Christmas" morning and brought her into the living room and she got wide-eyed. She seemed to enjoy the toys, especially anything she could chew on. We sat her up in her chair and her favorite thing to do was throw things off it is onto the floor. (Especially baby Stella) She enjoyed exploring her new toys as we listened to Christmas music and ate cinnamon rolls. It was probably pretty underwhelming for her, but Rob and I loved being able to play Santa and more importantly, enjoy special moments with our sweet baby girl.

Of course, most everything went straight to the mouth!
