First Play Date!

One Friday morning, Emmeline and I traveled to Greensboro to Courtney's house for our first play date with our friend Cassidy's little boy, Caleb. Caleb and Emmy were born only 2 days apart and I couldn't wait to see how they'd interact. Of course, they were only about 8 weeks old at the time and didn't really acknowledge each other's existence. The babies were very cute and layed on a mat together for a while and just flailed around. Courtney's little boy, Berkley, is almost 2 and really wasn't too interested in the babies. We were thankful that he played well by himself and let the mommies hang out! The mommies were super excited to have some adult time as well. Emmeline was on a pretty strict schedule at this time and had to go down for a nap at Courtney's about 20 minutes into the playdate. She was a champ and slept in Berkley's pack and play just fine! Cassidy even let us swaddle Caleb and put him down for a little while. One thing about being a momma is that you definitely have to make time to spend with your momma friends SANS children.
