Emmeline Leila Aycock: Daddy turns the big 3-0!

Right after you turned 4 months old, Daddy turned 30 YEARS old on August 27th, 2011. Last year for your daddy's birthday weekend, we surprised his parents and mine with the news that you were growing in my belly. It was quite exciting and I knew this year would be fun with you here. Grandpa Ben and Grandma Susan surprised Daddy on Friday night by coming to High Point and keep you so that we could go out with Courtney and Stephen. We met them in Greensboro at Bonefish Grille and had a great time celebrating and being together. (Of course, we talked about you too!) After our dinner, Daddy and I went to Blue Bourbon Jack's to have some more adult time. (We figured we might as well take advantage of those babysitters!) There was a pretty good jam band playing and we just enjoyed each others company. Mommy and Daddy felt GREAT the next morning when we had to get up with you. Your grandparents took us all out for lunch at Buffalo Wild Wings. It was during your nap time, so you hung in the best you could, until you were just way past exhausted and then we just passed you around the table. We had a great time and we gave Daddy lots of cards and presents. He loved the book from you, My Daddy Loves Me, and reads it to you often. Mommy gave him a Jason Alden c.d. with a surprise inside -- tickets to go see Jason Aldean in Raleigh! We headed down to Wake Forest on September 10th and stayed at your grandparents and let them take care of you while we went to the concert. I think you wore them out. We were definitely thankful for a night out!
