Smart Start Nurse Visits

Guilford County offers a wonderful program as part of their Smart Start program where you can have a nurse come visit your house in the weeks after giving birth. They check on you, answer any questions and weigh the baby to make sure they are thriving. I was so thrilled for our first visit. To my dismay, my nurse was pretty quiet and not very lively, but I tried hard to break the ice and by her second visit she did a much better job of talking to me :) Emmeline was only 9 lbs 3 oz when she first came and then 9 lbs 9 oz the next week which made me feel a lot better. She is probaby over 10 lbs by now. We go to the doctor next week for her 5 week appointment!
